From 13.03. - 16.03.2023 our Principal Investigators Tanja Gulder and Kirsten Zeitler of the University of Leipzig took part in the sustainability week at the elementary school Liebertwolkwitz, Leipzig.
There, they experimented with pupils in the 3rd and 4th grades as part of the "Sustainability" project week. The experiments focused on photosynthesis and how we can use this as a model to generate environmetally friendly energy with light. Besides different experiments giving evidence of the formation of oxygen through photosynthesis or the detection of different leaf dyes chlorophyll a and b in plants, a highlight was the contstruction of a solar-powered fuel cell car.
