International CataLysis Conference 2026 Weimar

Over the past three days (20.-22.05.2026), the CataLysis Network gathered once again for the International CataLysis Conference.

As in previous years, the meeting of the participating consortia CRC 1333, CRC/TRR 247, Catalight, CRC 1633, CRC 1441, together with our CRC 325, proved to be a resounding success. A total of 186 scientists participated. With six keynote talks, 26 presentations from the individual subprojects of the consortias, and around 98 poster presentations, the conference offered a wide range of opportunities for professional exchange, exciting discussions, and intensive networking. Our consortium welcomed Prof. Ming-Yu Ngai (Purdue University) as a guest speaker for his keynote talk on "Excited-State Catalysis in Organic Synthesis".

The poster contributions of each CRC were reviewed and evaluated by a different CRC. The winning poster, which received a book voucher provided by Wiley, was Dr. Nieves Pilar Ramirez Hernandez's (C03) poster about "Eosin Y Disproportionation Promoted Alkene Hydrofunctionalizations in Fluorinated Assemblies".

This year’s venue was the beautiful city of Weimar, which welcomed us with bright sunshine. In addition to the scientific program, there was also time to explore the historical sights and enjoy the city’s unique atmosphere.
